With a never ending sense for adventure and an insatiable lust for life, Danielle Burgio is a dynamic blend of toughness and grace. Her diverse talents and beauty have led her down an exciting path from Broadway dancer to top Hollywood stuntwoman to up-and-coming actress of the moment, and as the path continues to wind and take it's turns the future can only be golden for this very talented young woman.

At an early age, Danielle headed to New York to live with her Grandmother. Despite her parent's warnings of extreme disappointment, she booked her first audition after being in town less than two weeks and found herself in Starlight Express on Broadway.

One thing led to another and before she knew it, she found herself in Los Angeles. It didn't take long for her to settle into her new home and book a series of great gigs. One of her favorites was performing along side Cher at the American Music Awards.

Being the social butterfly that she is, Danielle was making friends all over town and it wasn't long before she encountered a couple of stuntmen. A litter interest led to a little help and the next thing she knew she was on the set of John Carpenter's Vampires. It was such a powerful experience that Danielle completely switched gears. She enrolled in gymnastics and martial arts and hit the pavement running, letting the stunt coordinators around town know who she was. It wasn't long until she rose to the top of the profession and found herself juimping from planes, driving through windows, running from explosions and dangling from 25-story buildings. She now has over 60 film and TV stunt credits to her name, including her favorite project, The Matrix sequels, where she landed the dream job as Trinity's fight double.

Her reputation led her to the producers of TBS Superstation's Worst Case Scenario. They invited her to co-host the show as Gear Girl, which enabled her to perform some of the most thrilling stunts of her career and put her face in the public eye. It was from this, TV Guide listed her as one of their top "Hot Picks" for the Boys and Girls of Summer.

From Worst Case, Matrix and the exposure she received from the Matrix/Heineken campaign, her career took yet another turn. After writing the forward to The Action Heroine Handbook for Quirk Publishing, she was asked to write her first book, The Stunt Woman's Workout which hit the shelves in May of 2005. She has been praised by CNN, the L.A. Times, Muscle & Fitness and many more.

She recently appeared with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America to discuss some of her trade secrets as well as G4 TV, Entertainment Tonight and more. She now works primarily as an actress, most recently seen on several episodes of Fox's hit "24" and soon to be seen in her first starring role in the action film Backlash.
